Developing our 2012 summer campaign, on Saturday 31st March we organized a business networking event to keep us alert of our existing and potential friends in the wine tourism sector.

Our facilities at Monte Serra were visited by some of the most renowned photographers, hotels and tour operators locally. The number of the participants came up to almost 60 people mainly from the Catania, Palermo, Siracuse and Messina area. Apart from our local guests the event was internationally recognizeas well; hosting wine-lovers from Germany, France, The Netherlands and others.

Together we enjoyed an extensive wine tour among our 100-years old pre-phylloxera vines situated in the base of the volcanic Monte Serra; visit to the historical “palmento” and an abundant lunch in our 18th century facilities and outdoors, accompanied by some of our best labels.

It was a wonderful spring day. Our century old vines grew so majestic on the plentiful colour palette. The mountain was full of life and seemed like everyone was trying to take a piece of it with a camera. It’s like nature almost did the job itself.

But in fact we helped a lot as well. All Benanti team was present, socializing in this creative atmosphere, all with a common goal – find the best way to portray to the national and international tourist the historical importance and the supreme quality of the venue and the wine itself.

The fantastic feedback proved to us one more time why we are in this business – to get the true Etna product to the world and make it a “landmark” for its unique character.
